How Basecamp Is Multiplying Men at Woodcrest Church in Eagan, Minnesota
What started as a single leadership gathering in Minneapolis has grown into a multiplying movement of men. In 2024, Woodcrest Church’s Lead Pastor, John Anderson, attended a leadership event where No Regrets Founder Steve Sonderman presented the ministry’s spiritual pathway: Reaching, Rooting, Releasing, and Reproducing. That vision for intentional, relational discipleship and multiplication stayed with him.
The following winter and spring (2024–2025), Pastor John took three key leaders from Woodcrest through the first four modules of Basecamp. Together, they walked through Scripture, sharpened one another, and began to catch a renewed vision for what it means to follow Jesus and disciple others.
By fall 2025, each of the three leaders had launched their own Basecamp group. What started with one pastor and three leaders is now three active groups of men growing in Christ and learning to make disciples who, in turn, make disciples.
This past Saturday, as part of a DiscipleMaker 101 LIVE event at Woodcrest, Steve paid a surprise visit to each of the groups, encouraging the men and seeing firsthand how God is at work at Woodcrest.
